ABOUT US

Draytons Arts, LLC is a family-owned business founded by Theresa Taylor in 2001. In 2021, Ms. Taylor received the Fellowship Award from the Delaware Division of the Arts and was honored as a Hall of Fame inductee by the Laurinburg Institute in North Carolina.

Draytons Arts has two main objectives:

Our main objective is to create artwork that is creatively harmonious.

Additionally, we aim to enhance and support art classes, camps, and workshops for both children and adults that inspire imagination.

We also provide budget counseling for artists looking to start their own art business.

ARTIST VIEWPOINT

Theresa Angela's artwork draws inspiration from social, political, and cultural viewpoints, capturing the essence and experiences of Afrocentric culture through vivid colors, rhythm, and movement. Our themes frequently delve into women's relationships with men, concepts from the Harlem Renaissance, and the continuous evolution and natural spirit of life.

At Draytons Arts, community service through art is vital, emphasizing programs that tackle homelessness, domestic violence, and provide support for adults and children with special needs.

CHILDREN CREATIVITY

Draytons Arts, LLC is dedicated to empowering young artists by providing them with a platform creative expression through painting, drawing, and digital art. We offer children aged 8 to young adults opportunities to engage in public art projects, exhibitions, and art camps. Theresa Angela, our teaching artist fosters artistic freedom, allowing to develop essential skills while promoting self-expression as a core element. Our curriculum provides firsthand knowledge of master artists' diverse skills and their contributions to the art world, emphasizing the importance of recognizing each individual's uniqueness. Our classes are not only enjoyable but also provide a valuable experience for children.

SUMMER AND YEAR ROUND CAMPS & CLASSES

We provided indoor activities filled with laughter. The Summer Visual Art Camp offered a diverse range of artistic experiences for children, including digital art, abstract expression, graffiti art, and lessons on art history featuring master artists. Children engaged in team exercises and had the freedom to unleash their creativity. I would like to thank the parents for allowing their children to this collaborative experience in painting, drawing, and crafting.

CHILDRENS' BOOKS

Children's books illustrated by Theresa Angela, DA owner and author Cindy Robinson Brown and Illustration by T. Angela.

Inspiration thru Community Service

Draytons Arts aims to enrich people's life journeys with insight, peace, color, and beauty. If our expression of love inspires even one person to embrace the positive energy reflected in a painting, then Draytons Arts has fulfilled its purpose.

DA supports organizations that empower women's rights and promote-empowerment for everyone, particularly Black Americans.
